The Akaroa Harbour Basin and surrounding Bays provide great country for day hikes,
anything from visiting remote beaches, to climbing the 1000m peaks,
to exploring regenerating bush areas - and all possible in one hike should you wish it.
In the largely open pastoral landscape, the hard work of climbing the hills is constantly rewarded
with magnificent views. A guided hike is ideal for those short of time to explore this
area, without transport, or who would prefer the company of a knowledgeable local.
Hikes selected will depend on your requirements, fitness, time available, interests and the weather conditions on the day.
