Your personal guide will weave a rich tapestry of tales for your group as they
stroll the beautiful streets, including the romantic role Akaroa played
at the birth of New Zealand, the French story, tales of colourful characters
and information on the architecture.
In the event of wet weather an indoor slide show "virtual walk" in the cosy Coronation Library is substituted, so your
activity proceeds rain or shine.

The route will be chosen and customised to suit the needs and plans of your particular group.
Example options include:
|
1 hour route:
Our most popular guided walk, "Romantic Akaroa" includes the Akaroa waterfront, whale pots,
French Landing site, Coronation Library, delightful cottages and the Main wharf.
1/2 hour route:
The "Town Taster" is a shorter version of Romantic Akaroa. Both of these routes are on flat town streets
suitable for all fitness levels. A jacket and comfortable shoes are recommended.
2 hour routes:
For those wanting something longer we offer the "Backstreet Ramble", "French Trail" and "Garden of Graves". These walks
include some bush walking and require moderate fitness and walking shoes.
